The Chicago Sky (24-8) defeated the Washington Mystics (20-13) 93-83 at Wintrust Arena on Aug. 5.

The Sky tied a franchise record with 24 wins in a single season—a record set during the 2013 WNBA regular season when the Sky finished with a 24-10 record, atop the Eastern Conference.

Kahleah led the Sky in their latest win with 19 points. Five other players—Allie Quigley, Courtney Vandersloot, Azura Stevens, Emma Meesseman and Rebekah Gardner—scored in double figures.

The Sky will remain home to play the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, Aug. 7. The tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. CT; it will air on ABC and SN.

—At Wrigley Field on Aug. 5, the Chicago Cubs (42-63) defeated the Miami Marlins (48-58) 2-1.

Willson Contreras hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning in his first home game since the trade deadline, and Justin Steele matched a career high with 10 strikeouts, per ESPN.

The teams will meet again Saturday, Aug. 6.

—Dylan Cease pitched six strong innings following a relatively rough start, Eloy Jimenez hit a tie-breaking solo home run and the visiting Chicago White Sox (54-52) beat the Texas Rangers (47-59) 2-1 on Aug. 5, ESPN noted.

The White Sox have won 13 of their last 20 games and are tied for second place in the Central Division with Cleveland; they're both two games behind Minnesota.

Chicago and Texas meet again Saturday, Aug. 6.
