An Illinois Masonic Medical Center doctor has been charged with criminal sexual assault in connection with the assault of a male patient.

Bond for Dr. Philip Lasky, 43, of suburban Morton Grove, was set at $75,000 last week in bond violence court, said a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

According to the 30-year-old victim, he was visiting Lasky Dec. 20 for a follow-up visit after hernia surgery when Lasky gave him a shot near his groin. The man laid back on the examining table and eventually looked down to find Lasky’s mouth around his penis, the spokeswoman said.

The victim then ran from the room and went to police.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Lasky has been suspended from the medical center, 3000 N. Halsted.

His next court date is Jan. 23.
