Gerber/Hart Library is working with Friends of the Arts, New Town Writers and others for a ‘Spectacular Spectacular’ in September at G/H Library Gallery, 1127 W. Granville.
The groups ask for the help of the GLBT community and others to mount an exhibit about the Belmont Rocks. This exhibit would gather artistic and cultural artifacts to document the Rocks and the part it has played in the history of the community. Chicagoans are being asked to search for all photos, drawings, paintings, articles, films, videos, etc., to contribute. The centerpiece will be a 10′ by 10′ painting of the Rocks by Berliner Alexander Von Agoston, who will be present for the opening ceremonies.
