The Chicago Chapter, NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt’s ‘Remember Their Names’ is Friday, Nov. 14, at The Arts Club of Chicago, 201 E. Ontario. The gala will feature a special exhibit of AIDS Memorial Quilts. Themed ‘a night in Old Havana,’ the event includes an intimate evening of food, drink and entertainment. Tickets are $150 per person.

The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS will be honored along with prominent Chicagoans, Robin Robinson, Fox News anchor; and Modesto Tico Valle, community activist and founder of the Chicago Chapter of the NAMES Project. Special guest will be Cleve Jones, founder of the NAMES quilt.
The Quilt, started in 1987, stands as the largest piece of community folk art in the world. Nominated for a Nobel Prize, the Quilt now weighs more than 54 tons and is comprised of 45,000 panels dedicated to more than 80,000 individuals.
