ONYX, for leathermen of color, has adopted a fraternity-like process (pledge class) to help bring leather to men of color and to broaden the leather community. A new pledge period is here, “We are instructed on leather history, our leather flag and Chicago leather history. We are taking a closer look at why we want to be leathermen and what we can contribute to the leather community, both here in Chicago and across our nation,” said one pledge.
