Dignity/Chicago, the affirming Catholic organization for lesbians, bisexuals, gay men and transgendered persons, will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadaloupe at a special bilingual Mass at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 14. The feast day honors the Blessed Virgin Mary, Patroness of Mexico and the Americas, who, according to tradition, appeared to St. Juan Diego on Dec. 9, 1531. The Mass will feature traditional Mexican music and Mexican food and refreshments will be served at the social to follow.
