Chicago Pride Invitational, CPI, was formed in 1988 through its sister tournaments, Strike Against AIDS and Athletes Against AIDS, to bring a national gay/lesbian ABC/WIBC-sanctioned tournament to Chicago. Since its inception, CPI, in partnership with the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association, has donated more than $80,000 to AIDS-related and Women’s Cancer Programs. Under the umbrella of The International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO), CPI is one of more than 75 tournaments throughout Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands, UK and United States. Their 16th Annual CPI 2004 tournament is March 12-14, 2004, with 150 gay/lesbian bowlers and their guests at Diversey Bowl.
