Send a letter to the editor of the Tribune praising their fairness in treating us equally with that of other married couples. We encourage you to write a letter as well to the Atlanta Journal Constitution expressing your displeasure with treating same sex wedded couples as second class citizens. David presented a copy of their marriage license to his employer, Dean Foods, one of the nation’s largest dairy companies. Dean Foods doesn’t provide domestic-partnership benefits. Greer asked that his husband, Lee, be provided marriage benefits his company provides to other married couples. The company has not provided a written statement to their request, but is expecting a written decision soon. The religious right has begun an email campaign to flood Dean Foods with threatening and negative calls, faxes and e-mails. ‘It is possible that David will be fired when he returns to work for Lee’s comments on live TV,’ the couple said about their TV appearance on the topic.
