Cook County Sheriffs arrested four people Tuesday morning during a protest for marriage at the Cook County Clerk’s Office.
Six people blocked the work stations in the Clerk area and four refused to leave. Charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, were: Andy Thayer, Gary Naham, Angela D. James and Cathy Ann Joseph. Thayer and Naham live on the North Side, while James and Joseph live South.
Scott Burnham of County Clerk David Orr’s office said that the individuals prevented the public from access.
The four were expected to be released on their own recognizance Tuesday afternoon after being processed in Mayood. No court date has been set.
