Patrick Finnessy, Director of University of Illinois at Chicago’s OGLBTC gay group, sent this out to folks: ‘On June 6, 2004, George W. Bush announced a federal government closure and a national day of mourning for former President Ronald Reagan on June 11. As an entity of the State of Illinois, the OGLBTC will be closed. However, while respectively mourning the loss of a former president, the OGLBTC will be closed on Friday, June 11, 2004, in memory of all those we have lost to AIDS, an epidemic that developed under Reagan’s presidency.’
