Where can you hear Carol of the Bells performed on toy pianos and xylophones this holiday season? At the Sleigh Ride Chamber Concert, presented by Lakeside Pride and Luther Memorial Church. The free concert will be held in the Luther Memorial Church sanctuary, Sunday, Dec. 19, at 3 p.m. and will feature the Lakeside Pride Clarinet Choir, Brass Choir, Women’s Ensemble and the always colorful Toyland Band.
Program highlights include Overture from The Messiah, Russian Dance (Trepak) from The Nutcracker, Angels We Have Heard on High, Suzy Snowflake and many more holiday favorites including an audience sing-a-long.
Luther Memorial Church is located at 2500 W. Wilson, Chicago. Donations are welcome. A reception hosted by Luther Memorial’s Worship Committee will immediately follow the performance.
