Openly gay state Rep. Larry McKeon, D-Chicago, celebrated his fifth swearing-in ceremony in Springfield just one day after marking the passage of SB3186, which prohibits GLBT-related discrimination in areas such as housing and employment.
McKeon, who represents the 13th District, has once again been appointed chair of the Labor Committee and vice-chair of the Housing and Urban Development Committee. He is also a commissioner on the Legislative Ethics Commission, a member of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rule, and serves on the Executive and Aging committees.
