The Chicago Commission on Human Relations advisory councils of Veterans’ Affairs and LGBT affairs, the American Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER) and Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) hosted the Salute to LGBT Veterans June 6 (D-Day) at Daley Plaza. Mayor’s Liaison Bill Greaves read a proclamation from Mayor Daley, and the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus and AVER singer Travis performed.
