Ali McDonald, 27, has co-hosted Think Pink, Chicago’s only all-music radio show for the queer community, with her friend Erik Rodan since September 2003. During that time, Ali and Erik have interviewed some of the most prominent queer musicians in the indie genre, including: Peaches, the Butchies, the Gossip, the Hidden Cameras, Bitch and many others. In addition, Ali served as a judge for the 2005 Out Music Awards and presented an award at the ceremony in Chicago. She was a programming consultant for last year’s Estrojam Music and Culture festival and is co-director of programming this year.
Ali has worked at the Greater Chicago Food Depository since February 2003. She was initially hired as an agency relations representative and was promoted in November 2004 to her current position, associate director of agency relations.
DID YOU KNOW? When she was in middle school Ali was in a twist-off dance contest and her partner was Davy Jones of the Monkees.
