Sapna Kumar, 30, has definitely made her mark as a top lesbian comic. Not only was she a Top 20 finalist in Chicago for Oxygen Network’s ‘Girls Behaving Badly’ but she was also called a comic to ‘keep your eye on’ in a June 2004 Curve magazine article on lesbian comediennes. She is currently a featured act with the Cultural Madness Comedy Tour with Mikey O Comedy productions and performs regularly at Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago. In addition, Sapna was among 10 performers chosen to feature original material in the Chicago Improv Festival in 2004. However, the multitalented honoree is also an actor, having appeared in venues with Awaken Productions at the American Theater Company; Bailiwick Repertory; Arts Lanes at the Ivanhoe Theater; and Pegasus Players.
