Let’s be honest: everyone likes tap-dancing. It can be speedy, stylish, flashy and sometimes downright suave. In recent years, old-fashioned tapping, clogging and soft-shoe have expanded into a universe of percussive dance, and no one celebrates it better than the Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP). For the 15th year, the CHRP is offering a week-long summer festival of percussive dance under the label Rhythm World, bringing together outstanding local, national and international tap masters. Rhythm World public performances are Aug. 5-7, Josephine Louis Theatre, 20 Arts Circle, Northwestern University, Evanston; (847) 491-7282; $30. Put on your happy feet, kids.
