The Children Affected by AIDS Foundation (CAAF) is holding its 6th annual Dream Halloween fundraiser at the Windy City Fieldhouse Oct. 22, 5-9 p.m. Dream Halloween is the signature fundraising event of CAAF—the only national charity solely devoted to providing support to children impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Each year, more than 1,200 children and their families support CAAF by attending Dream Halloween. In addition, actress Melina Kanakaredes will be in attendance as this year’s celebrity host. Best known for her role as Dr. Sydney Hansen on Providence, Kanakaredes currently plays Detective Stella Bonasera on CSI: New York. Her film credits include 15 Minutes and The Long Kiss Goodnight.
‘Dream Halloween is the major source of funds behind the $20 million we’ve raised to help kids in need these past 12 years,’ said founder and board chair Joe Cristina. ‘Seeing the joy in the faces of the children we aid fuels me, and our organization.’
