Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) will host the 3rd Annual MAN ALIVE Gay Men’s Health Summit Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Dr. Ronald Stall will deliver the keynote address and present his study of how social and cultural forces shape the behaviors that place individuals at higher risk of disease outcomes, most specifically, substance abuse and HIV infection. Stall, a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, has done research on intersecting health epidemics that affect gay men and has worked at UCSF and the CDC in Atlanta.

Man Alive was created three years ago with momentum from the nationwide gay men’s health movement. The meeting is the first of its kind in the Midwest that provides a safe gathering space for gay men to collectively learn and review information and provide support for healthy living.
