In the 1950s, Julie Andrews made her London and New York debuts in The Boy Friend, a delightful send-up of 1920s musicals about love and mistaken identity on the French Riviera. Ms. Andrews no longer sings, but she HAS directed a bright new production of The Boy Friend, coming here Nov. 15-20. This stylish but small musical plays the vast Chicago Theatre where 3,400 seats and a huge stage may swallow the show. Still, the frolicsome dances and lilting Sandy Wilson tunes, such as A Room in Bloomsbury and Sur La Plage, may win the day. (312) 902-1500; $25-$69.50.
