Artemis Singers, a lesbian-feminist choral group based in Chicago, will host a CD release party at T’s Restaurant and Bar, 5025 N. Clark, Dec. 8, from 7-10 p.m. The chorus will perform a few musical selections throughout the evening.
Founded in 1980, the 20-member chorus allows women to participate in various aspects of concert production, such as sound engineering, music composition and arranging, conducting, and set construction.
The event marks the group’s first CD recording (released for sale) in its 25-year history. The two-disc set features highlights from a quarter century of concert performances as well as newly recorded studio tracks.
