CFW Gives $20,000 to LCCP

The Lesbian Community Cancer Project’s Executive Director Jessica Halem was all smiles when presented with a $20,000 one-time-only grant from the Chicago Foundation for Women Dec. 16.

In celebration of its 20th year, CFW awarded 20 local organizations serving women and girls, including LCCP, $20,000 each. The grants were three times the typical amount awarded.

CFW’s Executive Director Hannah Rosenthal thanked LCCP for being a strong partner over the years. She stressed that the grant was not just a check, but an award for LCCP’s strong leadership and significant work in the community.

‘You believed in us before anyone else did,’ Halem said as she thanked CFW for its continuing support.
