Outmusic is seeking submissions for its 2006 awards (OMAs), according to its Web site.
Recordings released by LGBT artists in the 2005 calendar year are eligible in 15 categories, including newly added categories such as Outstanding Inspirational Recording, Music Video and Album Design. Nominees will be selected in a combination of judging by LGBT music industry pros and members’ choice ballots.
The submission deadline is midnight on Feb. 10. Recipients will be announced live at the OMAs on June 11 at New York City’s Knitting Factory. Nominees will perform live at the OMAs and at several special concert events at various NYC venues June 8-11.
