Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted, was more crowded than usual May 13 because the Chicago Dragons, a local mostly gay rugby team, had several of its members up for (date) auction.
The event was a rousing success, with the last bachelor (McKinley Adams) fetching a bid of $2,000 for a package that includes dinner for eight at the home of Art Smith, Oprah Winfrey’s personal chef. Several items were also put up for a silent auction, and a raffle also took place.
