Sapna Kumar, an Indian lesbian comedian from Chicago, may just prevail on Last Comic Standing, an NBC show.
Kumar, a Windy City Times 30 Under 30 recipient last year, auditioned for the show in Chicago; her footage is available at www.nbc.com/Last_Comic_Standing, under Online Comedians.
Kumar started doing comedy in Chicago at Cafe Ashie in Andersonville—where Star Gaze now stands. She performed for several years at Star Gaze, started getting booked at Zanies and now tours with MikeyOComedy.
