The Chicago History Museum will present the latest installment of our Out at CHM programming, Before the Gay Games: Lesbians in the Ballpark, June 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the facility, located at Clark and North.
Susan Cahn, a historian at State University of New York-Buffalo and author of Coming on Strong: Gender and Sexuality in Twentieth-Century Women’s Sport, and Anne Enke, a University of Wisconsin historian and author of a forthcoming book on women’s activism in the upper Midwest, will explore the historic role of the ballpark as a site of lesbian community.
