A fundraiser was held June 7 in the posh downtown Y Bar, 224 W. Ontario, in honor of Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s support of GLBT issues.
Blagojevich mingled for more than an hour with members of the LGBT community and its supporters at the packed soiree. In one term, the governor’s actions have included fighting for and signing the state’s equal-rights bill as well as ordering domestic-partnership benefits to all state employees under the control of his office.
