‘We Are Here,’ an exhibit of photographic images of African-American LGBT Chicagoans by Richard Lee Gray, opened Oct. 6 in the Community Room at Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park.
The exhibit will be displayed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and to 8 p.m. on Thursdays until Oct. 30. A reception to celebrate the exhibit will be held Oct. 20, 6-8 p.m., in the conservatory; the event will be co-hosted by The City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations Advisory Council on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues and U.S. Representative Danny Davis, D-Chicago. The exhibit and reception are open to the public.
