In the article entitled ‘Repeal of DADT Reintroduced’ in the March 7 issue of Windy City Times, the report of the number of people discharged under ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ should be attributed to the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN).
SLDN publishes an annual report detailing the number of discharges under the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, the number of incidents of harrassment reported, and the state of implementation of the policy by the services. The reports show that during times of war or conflict, fewer gay and lesbian servicemembers are discharged under DADT.
