Michael Bennett, a longtime Lakeview resident and a former waiter at Hamburger Hamlet and other fine dining restaurants, passed away Feb. 11. He was 55.
Bennett was the beloved brother of Shirley Zrinsky of Wisconsin; and Shawna Allen, Earl Bennett and Terry Bennett, all of Oklahoma. He was a dear friend of Renee Weiss and many others.
A memorial service was being held April 15 at Lakeview Lutheran Church, 835 W. Addison. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 1-800-ACS-2345. (Pressing ‘option 2’ will ensure your donation is specifically applied to prostate cancer research.) Donations may also be made to Zrinsky to defray funeral costs.
