Chances By Choice—a nonprofit foundation that helps HIV-exposed children find caring families, and a program of Adoption-Link—will hold its Third Annual Reality of Hope fundraising event on May 10 at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Preston Bradley Hall, 78 E. Washington, 6-9 p.m.
The aim of this event is to offset some of the costs that willing families have to face as well as support the organization’s continuing effort to establish orphanages and programs in countries most affected by the pandemic.
ABC 7 News’ Kevin Roy will emcee the event. There will be cocktails, music from the all-female drum combo SheBoom and a silent auction, among other offerings. Alex Kotlowitz, author of There Are No Children Here, is the honorary chairman.
