Better Existence with HIV (BEHIV) welcomed more than 300 guests to the Woman’s Club of Evanston for its fourth annual Club BEHIV & Cabaret gala on April 14.
The cabaret—during which Jen Porter, John Jones and the Highland Park Pops entertained the guests—was BEHIV’s most successful event ever, raising over $120,000 that will benefit BEHIV’s life-saving programs for people impacted by HIV and AIDS. In addition, Carol and Ken Mendelson received the President’s Award for their many years of volunteer service to BEHIV’s Art Therapy program.
Guests participated in a silent auction valued at more than $50,000, and enjoyed Moroccan cuisine in an oasis-type setting.
