Lambda Legal recently held its 13th Annual Bon Foster Civil Rights Celebration—themed ‘A Night of Controversy—at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago. Among the speakers were Lambda Legal Executive Director Kevin Cathcart; Lambda Legal Midwest Regional Director Jim Bennett; and Bon Foster Co-Chair and Jenner & Block partner Jerry Burgdoerfer.
The event celebrates the memory of Robert Bonvouloir ‘Bon’ Foster, a Chicago attorney who died of AIDS-related complications in 1991 at the age of 36. A donation he left helped start the Midwest office, with Pat Logue and Mona Noriega as its founding staff.
