Women’s football team the Chicago Force opened its season in style, defeating the Iowa Crush 27-6 in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 28 in front of the largest home crowd in the home team’s franchise history.
Head coach Jim Stahl was generally pleased with the team’s performance. ‘We expected eyes to be wide open in the first quarter from our rookies’, he said in a press release. ‘Our execution was fair. We need to cut down on the penalties. Overall, I thought that we played really well’.
The Force had a bye last weekend. The next game is May 12 against 2006 conference champion the Detroit Demolition.
