The 11th Annual OPAL Gala, sponsored by OPALGA (Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association) will take place July 13 at 6 p.m. at Elmcrest Banquets by Biancalana, 7370 W. Grand, Elmwood Park.
This year’s gala emcee, Georgia Ragsdale, is a comedian, actress (including a stint on the show Ellen) and businesswoman who will guide attendees through an evening dedicated to celebrating OPALGA’s 18th anniversary and honoring the community through the presentation of the Oak Park Area Leadership Awards.
Tickets are $125 per person and include an open bar. A raffle and both a live and silent auction will be among the evening’s highlights. Attendees will also receive a free one-year subscription to the weekly TimeOut Chicago. Call 708-848-0273 for more info.
