Scott (Rocky) Seaton Kellogg, a dear friend and loving companion, died July 28 of complications related to pneumonia at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was 52.
Kellogg worked for the law firm of Ross & Hardies for eight years as a computer programmer; at one time, he also was a volunteer firefighter.
Kellogg was raised in Naperville and moved to Chicago as an adult, making the Lakeview neighborhood his home.
He is survived by his twin sister, Susan, and an elder sister, Barbara, as well as his mother, June. Kellogg leaves behind a cadre of close, diverse friends that will remember him always with great love and kindness. An ever-present figure in the North Halsted community, Kellogg cultivated many neighborhood ties and long-lasting friendships.
Kellogg is being remembered as someone who was the advocate for anyone who needed legal help, a good meal, a few bucks or just a patient ear.
There will be a private memorial for Kellogg.
