The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) recent Field Museum gala, ‘A Grand Tour, The Gilded Homecoming,’ raised over $485,000.
Highlighting the entertainment were performances from The Joffrey Ballet, Village Players Theatre performing Madame Butterfly, live piano performances and dancing to the spinning of Matthew Harvat (a.k.a. Circuit Mom).
Among other highlights was the presenation of the Unsung Hero Award, recognizing longtime DIFFA supporters and fundraisers. The award was given to Pavel Juricek and Tom Kehoe of Kehoe Designs.
In addition to supporting the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) nationally, DIFFA/Chicago distributes funds to Chicago area AIDS agencies who provide direct service, education and outreach. Since 1987, DIFFA/Chicago has awarded more than $2.5 million in Excellence in Care Awards.
