Robert Marc Schneider, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., who was also an attorney, activist, family historian, art patron, epicure and proud member of Chicago’s leather community, passed away Aug. 6. He was 53.
Schneider was the cherished son of the late Chester and Lillian Schneider; brother of Sandra and Arthur Diamond of Newington, Conn.; the very proud and loving uncle of Lisa Kim Diamond and Seth Micah Diamond.; great-uncle of Samuel Phoenix Diamond and Mason Isaiah Diamond; dearest friend of Jeff Margulis and Rex and Jacqueline Kidder; and faithful companion of a cat, Esmeralda.
A gathering of family and friends took place Sat., Aug. 11, at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted.
