Tall, charismatic and polite porn star Kent North attended the Grabbys-2007 Erotic Video Awards at Chicago’s Park West Theatre, 322 W. Armitage, on May 25, where he hosted the event along with fellow stars Johnny Hazzard and Matthew Rush, entertainer-director Chi Chi LaRue and entertainer Honey West, who all enthralled a packed house of over 1,000 cheering fans.
North was once a Royal Navy Submariner honored by Queen Elizabeth II, and was exclusive to the company known as Hot House Entertainment. He was nominated in the category for the 2007 Best Solo, and he soon proudly bounded to the stage as winner of that coveted Grabby Award.
Before the show began, North and his equally handsome partner, Warren Lord, posed for my camera, and they were both charmingly concerned that I was happy with the photographic results. Of course I was.
A few days later (June 25), the couple sent me a note:
Hey Steve,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, we spent the week in deepest English countryside with no access to internet or email!
The story is great; many thanks for including us in your report. I love the picture and I am so very proud of my wonderful boyfriend, it is a picture I will be keeping-he always looks great!
I also think I missed out on Fergie at the Alhambra!!! It sounds like a blast.

I am very sad to know that North passed away just a few days later—on July 4 in London.
