Adamo Ruggiero, who plays the gay character Marco on Degrassi: The Next Generation, just came out of the closet, reported Afterelton.com. Ruggiero, 21, has been playing the role of the gay teen for the past six years. The young actor came out during an interview with a Canadian Web sit, and said he wanted to join the ranks of out actors in order to serve as a role model for LGBT youth.
In an interview with The Advocate, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane said that the character of Stewie, the diabolical baby, is ‘almost certainly gay.’ ‘We haven’t really locked into it because we get a lot of good jokes from both sides, but we treat him oftentimes as if we were writing a gay character.’ MacFarlane is also the created of the animated series American Dad.
U.K.’s Pink News reported that bad boy actor Colin Farrell is planning to be his older brother’s best man at his civil union ceremony. Eamon Farrell, 35, is planning to wed his partner, but not in their hometown of Dublin, Ireland.
