Nicole Abusharif—the woman charged with murdering her partner, Becky Klein, in Villa Park last March—is scheduled for a hearing at the DuPage County Courthouse, 505 County Farm, Wheaton, on Wed., April 23.
Abusharif, Klein’s roommate and partner of five years, reported her missing March 16, 2007. Detectives were on the scene shortly thereafter and found the victim’s body the next day in the trunk of a Ford Mustang in the couple’s garage.
During a March 21, 2007, press conference, DuPage County State’s Attorney Joseph Birkett alleged that Abusharif ‘committed first-degree murder.’
DuPage County State’s Attorney spokesman Paul Darrah told Windy City Times that prosecutors may ask for a trial date at the upcoming date for Abusharif, who met a $1 million bond. Judge Mark Dwyer, who set the bond, will oversee the hearing.
