The AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s Junior Board held its signature event, ‘Make a Statement: Design for the Cure,’ Thurs., May 8, at Le Passage, 937 N. Rush. The mission of this event was to raise HIV/AIDS awareness among those 21-35. Steven Rosengard (of Project Runway fame) hosted the fashion show and cocktail event, which featured a silent auction, live entertainment and a raffle. To kick off National HIV/AIDS Testing Month in June, models will wear T-shirts with such statements as ‘Safe Sex Is the New Black.’ Photos by Kat Fitzgerald; see www.MysticImagesPhotography.com for more
