Milwaukee PrideFest— Wisconsin’s largest celebration of LGBT culture and community—took place June 6-8. Despite the sometimes inclement weather—which caused the fireworks spectacular to be moved from June 7 to the following night—spirits were high, thanks to a parade, a plethora of musical acts (including Scott Free, the Indigo Girls and Rachael Sage) and even a health expo. Members of the National Socialist Movement protested the event, but they were outnumbered by pro-gay demonstrators, including members of PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays).
