The building that houses the popular Lakeview gay dance club Roscoe’s, 3356 N. Halsted, was the site of a fire on the afternoon of Nov. 25.
The extent of the fire’s damage is unknown. The address has residential units in addition to the club. According to the Chicago Fire Department, the cause of the fire was electrical in nature and originated in the club’s dance-floor area.
A sign on the front of the establishment read ‘Roscoe’s is temporarily closed. We’re sorry for any inconvenience, ‘ but the club reopened in time for the Thanksgiving weekend.
