The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) has nominated the Chicago-based social marketing campaign, “How are you healthy?” for its 1st Media Awards in Advertising, according to a press release.

“How are you healthy?”—launched in March 2008 as part of a five-year gay men’s health collaboration between the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Center on Halsted, Howard Brown Health Center and Test Positive Aware Network (funded by the Chicago Department of Public Health) —is the first social-marketing campaign in Chicago to take an assets-based approach to gay, bisexual and trans men’s health.

The GLAAD awards will be announced Oct. 27 in New York City at an event hosted by actor Alan Cumming.

GBT men are encouraged to send in their own answers to “How are you healthy?” at lifelube@gmail.com.
