Jan. 11, 2010 — Self-deprecating comedian Paula Poundstone returns to the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage for an 8 p.m. Mainstage performance Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Armed with a stool, a microphone and a can of soda, Poundstone weaves tales of the everyday, politics and other observations with her quick wit. Her Comedy Central recently named her among its top 100 comics.

The Alabama-born, Massachusetts-raised comedian is regularly featured on National Public Radio’s “Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me” and “Prairie Home Companion.” Poundstone also recently released her first comedy CD, “I Heart Jokes,” in 2009.

Tickets to Paula Poundstone are $38 for adults, $36 for seniors and $28 for College of DuPage students and youth. First- and second-row seats also are available.
