Bailiwick Chicago’s Executive Director Kevin Mayes is calling for fashion designer submissions for the upcoming production of Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA, which will begin previews Thursday, July 1, at American Theatre Company, 1909 W. Byron. Bailiwick Chicago wants four designers to create Egyptian-inspired gowns for the production’s fashion show-themed musical number, “My Strongest Suit.”
Interested applicants may e-mail their proposals to aidadesign@bailiwickchicago.com. Proposals should include a cover letter; resume or bio; and samples of previous work. (Website links are strongly suggested.) The deadline for submitting proposals is May 17. Designers will be expected to provide completed garments by Wed., June 23.
