Tom Moss, a hard-working union glassworker and longtime employee of Torstenson’s Glass Company, passed away May 5 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was 45.
A lifelong Chicagoan and Southwest Sider by birth, Moss was known by many around the North Side neighborhoods as a gentle soul with a kindly grin.
He was a huge nature lover and enjoyed nothing better than the secluded woods or a quiet sunny spot at the lakefront.
Moss is survived by his mother, Janet Moss, and one brother, Bill, both of Las Vegas, Nev. He will be missed by many family members and friends.
Services are private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Howard Brown Health Center; see www.howardbrown.org.
