Lambda Legal held its fourth annual Forum Conveniens—an event for summer associates, lawyers and other LGBT professionals to network and learn about pro bono and volunteer opportunities within the LGBT and legal communities—June 16 at the Vertigo Skylounge at the Dana Hotel. Approximately 200 LGBT professionals representing some of the city’s largest law firms attended. Lambda Legal Senior Staff Attorney Camilla Taylor spoke on the value of pro bono legal assistance that Lambda Legal receives from the private legal community. Forum Conveniens Chair John Richards, a member of Lambda Legal’s National Leadership council highlighted additional volunteer opportunities available to lawyers and non-lawyers. The Advocate, the Dana Hotel, Basil Hayden, Effen Vodka and MillerCoors sponsored the event. Photo of Lambda Legal interns and text courtesy of Jeff Souva
