The group Scissor Sisters returns its third album, Night Work, on Tuesday, June 29, in the United States. The band, which has sold more than 7 million albums worldwide, recorded the CD in London, the Bahamas and its hometown of New York City, working for the first time with an outside producer, Stuart Price (The Killers, Madonna).
“Night Work really us boiled down to who we are. It feels quintessentially us,” said singer Jake Shears in a statement. Shears, Ana Matronic (who also handles vocals), Babydaddy (guitarist/bassist/keyboardist) and Del Marquis (guitarist) complete the lineup and all four are founding members of the band.
With song titles such as “Skin Tight,” “Sex and Violence” and “Skin This Cat,” the CD will surely be intriguing.
