Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) has announced that audience members at its recent annual Pride concert—”Summer Camp,” performed June 25-26 at Nettelhorst Auditorium—donated more than $1,600 to support Project Kindle, a national organization dedicated to providing cost-free camping programs and advocacy programs for HIV/AIDS-infected and -impacted children, young adults and families, according to a press release.

“CGMC is thrilled to bring the message of Project Kindle to our audiences and is greatly touched by their generous contributions,” said Quenten Schumacher, president of the board of directors of Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus. “Our music affects people on many different levels, just as the mission of Project Kindle does, and we are honored to assist them in its efforts of sending over 60 Chicago-area clients to camp this August.”
